Annual General Membership Meeting

MYAL will hold our annual general membership meeting to elect Board officers and hold a Basketball kick-off meeting for the 2019-20 season.
MYAL is a 100% volunteer organization. Our philosophy focuses on participation, development & enjoyment of youth sports. We need many volunteers to help us provide a positive recreational experience, both on and off the court, for the youth of Marlborough.
The following is a brief summary of Executive Board positions and the associated responsibilities.
- President – overall responsibility for all league activities, calls league meetings and sets meeting agendas
- 1st Vice President - town liaison, coordinates gym scheduling, maintains registration records.
- 2nd Vice President – sponsorships, concessions, MYAL fundraising events and maintains list of active and future capital projects.
- Treasurer – maintains insurance coverage, financial statements, checking and savings accounts
- Secretary – records minutes of meetings, publicizes league activities & upcoming meetings
- Member at Large - non-specific responsibilities but usually handles special projects

When considering running for a position, please remember that all of the Board positions have responsibilities and monthly meetings. It is important that if you run for a position, that you are willing and able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
